Northwest Trade Ally Network—Illuminating Opportunities in 2008
Welcome to the electronic newsletter for the Northwest Trade Ally Network — Commercial & Industrial Lighting. Over 90 Pacific Northwest electric utilities offer C&I lighting incentives in 2008
Regional electric utilities and energy efficiency organizations have dramatically increased the amount of conservation savings they are targeting to capture over the next several years. Lighting represents nearly 50 percent of all the savings they expect to come from the commercial and industrial market sectors. As a Participant in the Network, your company will be well positioned to take advantage of this growing business opportunity. The Northwest Trade Ally Network website maintains a current listing of utility incentive programs. Check it out regularly to keep up to date on the latest opportunities for your customers.

First workshop is a big success; more scheduled throughout the region

sample-photo2 The Northwest Trade Ally Network—Commercial & Industrial Lighting got off to a great start in late 2007 with trade ally workshops held in 7 different locations across Oregon and Washington. Over 300 trade allies and 25 electric utility companies have attended the sessions and feedback has been extremely positive. To date, nearly 100 trade allies have submitted enrollment applications to become Participants in the Network. Check out the events calendar for information on a variety of upcoming workshops in your area. Just click on the particular event you are interested in to download the reservation form.

New website offers tools you can use
Check out the new Northwest Trade Ally Network website. In the coming months, we'll be adding valuable information to help your commercial and industrial customers save energy and money through energy efficient lighting. Here's just some of what's available now:

Spotlight on "the big picture"
You can provide the best service possible to your customers by understanding the larger trends and opportunities for energy efficient commercial and industrial lighting. You can also help your customers see how their individual efforts bring us all closer to the goal of cleaner, more efficient energy. The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting economic prosperity and environmental protection. ACEEE conducts in-depth technical and policy assessments, advises policymakers, and works with businesses and consumers on energy education and advocacy. Check out what ACEEE has to say about the importance of commercial and industrial lighting in the nationwide effort to help businesses reduce energy costs.
